Junior Lynx Have a Standout Year

RELEASE - The Toronto Lynx soccer club received a massive boost amid preparations for the upcoming North American Super Y league finals, when the United Soccer Leagues announced the Ontario based club as the number one ranked Academy in the Mid West Region.

"Being ranked above the powerful Chicago Fire, Chicago Magic, Cleveland, Michigan and the Indiana programs, is a massive complement to what we are doing here in Toronto" stated Club Head Coach and Academy Director, Duncan Wilde.

"We are currently preparing Three Academy teams for participation in the upcoming 2009 North American finals and this news gives everyone a major boost as we attempt to win our first Super Y League Championship" added Wilde. "We are positioned in what is one of the very highest quality USL divisions on the continent, no question and we are all very excited and extremely proud of this achievement. This has certainly proven to be a standout year for the Toronto Lynx Juniors".

Following the third successive year of playoff qualification for the U20 Men’s team in July, the Junior Lynx U17 and U16 boys, together with the U17 Lady Lynx Juniors will head to Tampa, Florida for the North American finals being held from November 20-24th.

NINE LYNX JUNIORS SELECTED FOR ODP !!

As an ongoing incentive for players within the Super Y League, the United Soccer Leagues continue to promote the very best players across North America, recognizing the very highest quality with an Olympic Development Program each year. Selected players will be invited to attend a structured ODP camp hosted in Florida in the New Year which is staffed, presented and scouted by some of the top coaches, programs and Universities from across North America.

This recognition for a Canadian is an outstanding addition to a players college/University resume and we are extremely proud to announce our 2009 recipients of an ODP award.

TORONTO LYNX OPEN TRYOUTS!

The Toronto Lynx Juniors will once again open it's doors for open tryout sessions beginning in December for Boys U14-U20 and Girls U16 to U20. Specific dates and locations will be posted in the very near future.
