OSU Player Kris Twardek Goes under Everton FC Academy Development
RELEASE - English Premier League ( EPL) club; Everton FC have decided to significantly increase their Academy’s interaction with OSU, and U13 OSU Force Academy player Kris Tawrdek. Kris had a successful trial at the Everton Academy in Liverpool and as well on a tour with the Everton Academy team in the Bierbeek Cup in Belgium.
Kris will now follow the direct soccer development program of the Everton Academy and will be monitored by Everton FC scouts and staff. In addition to his training in the OSU Force Academy, which follows the Everton Way player development model, Kris will take part in a number of visits over the next 6 months to the Everton Academy in England for further development by Everton coaches. These visits will be complimented with visits from Everton coaches to OSU. Tosh Farrell, Everton’s International development officer and Academy coach commented that Kris has shown more than enough potential to warrant this type of investment at this stage of his development. “ We have visited OSU four times in the last year and we have identified at least two other players besides Kris that we would like to invite for trials at the Academy”. OSU president Bill Michalopulos added “it’s wonderful for one of our players to receive this type of opportunity. The whole OSU family is very actively supporting Kris’ and other OSU player’s development. It also reinforces our decision to enter in these types of strategic alliances and clearly shows our ability to uniquely showcase our player’s abilities not only in North America but in Europe as well.” |
